How to Get the Mandate Encampment Outer Gate Key in Phantom Blade Zero

Location and Requirements

The Mandate Encampment outer gate is located within the village of Lou in Phantom Blade Zero. When players enter the village and take the right path, they will immediately encounter this locked gate.

However, players cannot obtain the key immediately upon reaching the gate. The key is not located within the village of Lou itself. Instead, players must fully progress through and complete the entire map of the village of Lou, as well as the subsequent section of the game, before they can acquire the key required to open this specific gate.

Progressing Through the Village of Lou

To reach the area where the key is hidden, players need to follow a specific path of progression through the region:

1. Explore and advance through the village of Lou.
2. Continue pushing forward until you reach a bell known as the Pond of Fading Song.
3. Progress past this bell to trigger an upcoming boss encounter.

Boss Fight and Entering the Well

Reaching the key requires defeating a specific boss and navigating a dangerous drop:

1. Defeat the Boss: Fight and defeat the boss located just in front of the well in this section of the map.
2. Descend the Well Safely: Do not directly jump into the well, as doing so will result in death. Position yourself at the correct angle to prompt the interactive button. Press the prompted button to drag down and safely fall into the well.

Navigating to the Item Chamber

Once you are inside the well area, follow these steps to reach the destination:

1. Collect the blue flower located nearby.
2. Proceed along the open pathway.
3. Climb the ladder leading upward.
4. Enter the large open chamber at the top.
5. Defeat the enemies present inside the room.
6. Collect the item at the back of the room, which is the Mandate Encampment outer gate key.

Unlocking the Gate

With the key safely in your inventory, you can now access the new region:

1. Fast travel back to the village of Lou.
2. Navigate to the bottom right section of the area where the locked gate is situated.
3. Use the Mandate Encampment outer gate key to open the gate.

Opening this gate unlocks the Mandate Encampment, a massive map segment that players can explore alongside their progress in Pang Zhen.
