How to Complete A Healer's Mercy Quest in Phantom Blade Zero (All 4 Thieves)
Heal all four wounded thieves for Yura at the Thieves Camp, grab the Forest Outpost Courtyard Key and Thieves Camp Dungeon Key, and earn the Calming Gourd accessory.
How to Start A Healer's Mercy
"A Healer's Mercy" is a side quest in the Crimson Forest region of Phantom Blade Zero. Make your way to the Thieves Camp and speak with Yura, who waits inside the camp. During the conversation, choose the option to talk about the wounded in the woods. This adds four new locations to your map, and at each one a wounded thief is lying somewhere in need of a life-saving pill. Heal all four of them, then report back to Yura to wrap the quest up.
The four thieves are scattered across a wide stretch of the region. Two of them sit near the Outlaw Trap fast travel point, the third requires a long trek to a far-off outpost, and the fourth hides behind a locked gate right next to the Thieves Camp itself. The walkthrough below follows them in the order the video takes, which is also the most efficient route through the quest.
Wounded Thief 1: West of the Outlaw Trap
The first thief is the easiest to reach:
- Open your map and fast travel to the Outlaw Trap, the closest fast travel point to this objective.
- From the marker, head west. If you are ever unsure which way to go, press the mind's eye button and the game will point you toward your target.
- Run straight down the pathway and you will find the first wounded thief lying on the ground.
- Interact with him and hand over the life-saving pill. That is one of four thieves healed.
Grab the Nearby Loot Before Moving On
If you have not explored this area before, continue a little further up past where the thief was lying. There is a small pocket of the map just beyond him with items to loot. Make sure you pick all of it up, because as the video points out, you are going to need it for the next thief.
Wounded Thief 2: Inside the Cave Below the Outlaw Trap
Return to the Outlaw Trap fast travel point and zoom out on your map. You will see a wounded thief marker that looks much farther away, and it appears to sit out in the open overworld. Do not let that fool you: he is actually underground, inside a cave beneath that spot.
- Back at the Outlaw Trap, find the device nearby and insert the crank into it.
- Head down into the cave it opens.
- Down below, cross the wooden bridge toward the table.
- Just beyond the table, hug the left side and you will run straight into the wounded thief.
- Interact with him and give him the life-saving pill, bringing you to two out of four thieves healed.
Although the map marker makes this one look like a long trip, the actual route only takes a few seconds once you are in the cave. After the rescue, climb back up to the surface and return to the fast travel points.
Wounded Thief 3: Beyond the Forest Outpost Village
The final two thieves require you to venture out quite a distance, and the third one is next. To reach it, you have to progress all the way around the map:
- From the Thieves Camp, set out along the road, following it around the corner.
- From there the route runs in a pretty much straight line. Loot everything you pass along the way.
- You will pass through a cave, and you have to crouch to exit it on the far end.
- Once you leave the cave, you arrive at a small village with a locked door.
Forest Outpost Courtyard Key Location
The village door is locked, and the key is hiding in plain sight behind you:
- Turn around and go up the stairs.
- Enter the big house on the left at the top of the stairs.
- Loot the glowing item inside. It is very easy to find: the Forest Outpost Courtyard Key.
- Return to the locked door, open it, and grab the resting point just inside.
Reaching the Thief at the Bottom of the Ladder
From the resting point, follow the road uphill. Be ready for a fight: there are enemies along this stretch of road, so expect to cut through them as you go. When you reach the stairs, climb them, and keep exploring every single corner as you progress, since looting everything in this game is how you reach your full power.
- Go down the next section, jump down, then jump back up, and keep pushing forward.
- Ahead you will spot a big house in the distance with a glowing item at its very top. Remember that house, but do not enter yet.
- Instead, swing left just behind the large tree and drop down that section.
- You will find a ladder leading all the way down. Climb to the bottom.
- The wounded thief is right there at the base of the ladder. Interact with him and hand over the life-saving pill for three out of four thieves healed.
The Crank, the Cellar, and the Thieves Camp Dungeon Key
Climb back up the ladder. Now it is time to enter that big house, because the glowing item at the very top is a crank, and it is exactly what you need to open the sealed section down below. There is a machine inside the house area that accepts a crank, but reaching the upper floor takes a small detour:
- Exit the house and loop around to its right-hand side, passing through the open hut.
- Just inside you will find a small resting point, and next to it a ladder leading up to the second floor. Climb it.
- At the top, destroy the clutter blocking the way and open up the pathway to the left.
- Run through the poison section as quickly as you can and grab the crank at the end.
- Jump back down and insert the crank into the machine. This swings open the cellar entrance.
Inside the cellar, stick to the left-hand open path. Collect the loot as you go, then jump across the gap and climb up the section beyond it. In the distance you will see another glowing item: the Thieves Camp Dungeon Key. Zoom out on the map and you can confirm it matches the locked gate sitting near the Thieves Camp, right where the final wounded thief is waiting. With the key in hand, finish looting the cellar if you like, then fast travel back to the Thieves Camp.
Wounded Thief 4: Behind the Locked Gate at the Thieves Camp
The last rescue happens almost back where the quest began:
- Fast travel to the Thieves Camp and head over to the gate you probably noticed was locked earlier.
- Use the Thieves Camp Dungeon Key to open it.
- As soon as you step inside, look immediately to your left. The final wounded thief is right there.
- Interact with him to heal him, completing all four rescues for A Healer's Mercy.
All that remains is to return to Yura, who is still waiting back at the Thieves Camp village. Speak with her about the wounded in the woods one more time to hand in the quest and collect your reward.

Tips for A Healer's Mercy
- Use the mind's eye when you are lost. If a thief's marker has you wandering, press the mind's eye button and the game nudges you in the correct direction, just like it does near the Outlaw Trap.
- Trust the route over the map. The second thief's marker looks like it sits far out on the overworld, but he is actually inside the cave below, and the real trip takes only moments once you insert the crank.
- Loot everything, everywhere. The video stresses looting every area along the road, including the pocket of loot just past the first thief, because you need the pickups for the road ahead and for your full power.
- Expect resistance on the road to the outpost. The stretch between the village door and the big house is guarded, so head in ready to fight.
- Do not linger in the poison. On the house's second floor, sprint through the poisoned section rather than walking it, grab the crank, and move on.
