How to Get Yu Long's Deluge Phantom Edge in Phantom Blade Zero

Introduction and Overview

Welcome to this comprehensive guide on acquiring Yu Long's Deluge Phantom Edge in Phantom Blade Zero. If you have been exploring the game world, you have likely encountered hazardous fire-blocked paths that completely halt your progress. These environmental blockades prevent you from accessing vital new regions, making the Phantom Edge an absolute necessity for full map exploration and progression.

Throughout your journey in the Pang Zhen region, you will first notice these fiery barriers blocking your path. While you cannot bypass them immediately, tracking down this special item will grant you the power to clear the flames and open up hidden areas. This walkthrough breaks down the exact route, locations, and boss encounter required to secure the item.

Understanding Fire-Blocked Paths and Initial Encounters

Before diving into the long journey required to obtain the tool, it helps to understand where you will use it and why it is important.

• First Encounter: You will initially stumble across a fire-blocked path within the Pang Zhen region.
• Additional Barriers: As you explore further, you will find another fire-blocked path located further up to the left-hand side.
• Purpose: Interacting with these locations once you possess the correct item allows you to press a button that instantly removes the fire, clearing the way for thorough exploration of uncharted territory.

Because these barriers stall your movement across multiple locations in the region, securing the Phantom Edge should be a top priority for your current quest objective.

Journey to Lion Dawn's Hall and the Broken Bridge

To get your hands on the Phantom Edge, you must embark on a specific route leading far to the left of your current exploration area.

1. Follow the Quest Objective: Make your way all the way to the far left side of the map where your active quest objective points toward the Trail's Heart.
2. Locate Lion Dawn's Hall: Your path will take you directly to Lion Dawn's Hall. Treat this landmark as your primary navigational checkpoint.
3. Head to the Broken Bridge: From Lion Dawn's Hall, continue traveling toward a specific location featuring a broken bridge situated over the water.
4. Navigate the Waters: Upon arriving at the broken bridge area, you will notice a large body of water decorated with numerous lanterns. You must wade directly across this water to proceed.

The Yu Long Boss Encounter

As you venture across the lantern-lit water, you will not be able to cross completely unhindered.

• Midway Encounter: When you reach approximately halfway across the water section, you will encounter Yu Long.
• Combat Strategy: Yu Long acts as the primary gatekeeper for this item. Prepare yourself for a challenging duel against this formidable foe.
• Defeat the Enemy: Focus on learning his attack patterns, dodging his offensive moves, and capitalizing on openings to whittle down his health bar. Ensure you stay aggressive yet defensive enough to survive the duel and successfully defeat Yu Long.

Rewards and Acquisition

Upon conquering Yu Long in combat, you will secure the essential item needed to advance your exploration capabilities.

Once Yu Long is defeated, you will receive Yu Long's Deluge (also referred to phonetically as Delugi), which serves as your key to obtaining the Phantom Edge functionality.

Using the Phantom Edge to Clear Fire Paths

Now that you have successfully acquired the item from Yu Long, you can retrace your steps back to the fiery obstacles that previously halted your journey.

1. Return to Pang Zhen: Travel back to the initial fire-blocked paths you discovered earlier in the Pang Zhen region (including the one further up to the left-hand side).
2. Interact with the Barrier: Walk right up to the wall of fire.
3. Press the Prompt: Press the designated interaction button to trigger the removal mechanism.
4. Explore the New Area: Watch as the fire dissipates, leaving a clear, safe corridor for you to explore the newly opened region.
