- Keep moving as he mostly charges straight at you.
- When he raises his bubble shield, he can't move—break the bubble to stagger him and leave him wide open.
- A lot of his attacks are ranged attacks; once you get used to the timing, they are fairly easy to parry.
- Keep parrying to break his guard, then use punishing skills like Blood Thirsty Slash when using weapons like Jagged Steel.
- Equipping accessories such as the Reflect Device (to extend the parry window), Perfect Dodge, and Shield Breaker Talisman helps tremendously against his shielded state.
